About & History

The Latino Pan-Hellenic Council is a Greek council here at the University of Texas at Austin! Our mission as a council is to utilize our leadership and efforts to promote academic excellence, cultural awareness, inclusion, and acceptance of our diverse student body, with the overall goal of unifying and serving our Latinx community and culture, as well as other underrepresented minority groups.

The Latino Pan-Hellenic Council was founded in the Spring of 2000 by a group of UT students hoping to unify an underrepresented Greek Community. The council combines leadership, community service, cultural understanding, and academics to maximize the success of its members. Each of the sororities and fraternities that make up the LPHC has a unique place on the Forty Acres.
